Yes the engine does "de-tune" via the computer system, however prolonged de-tuning will result in damage, not to mention the lack of the premium fuel additatives. Anyone using regular gas and believing it is doing no harm is fooling himself.

I do not have a fiver, but you need to decide first, do you wnat a high performance tire, all season tire or a strict winter tire? Good name brands are Michelin, Pirelli, bridgestones and others. An up and coming brand is Kumho, who are entering the racing fields and have some very good pricing.

Not very impressive, passing on a double yellow, crossing the double yellow to "apex" a corner, all the things that give BMW drivers a bad name. A true high perfomance driver would apex the corners without crossing into the other guys lane.

This question gets asked over and over again and I am still baffled that people buy a Bimmer and than want to skimp on the gas they put in it to save $2.00 per tank. BMW's are made to run premium fuel, it keeps them at their peak and clean, due to additatives that regular fuel does not have...
