02 530i Zenon Adjustment

Hello Everyone,

I am now a proud owner of a 2002 530i and this car is great. The sport package and 18" M wheels and Michelins are great for corners.

I need some advise on the Zenon headlamp adjustment. I looked around and can see that there are two white plastic screws on top of the headlight housing which looks like the logical place for the adjustment screws.

If any of you have attempted this i would appreciate any help. Right now it seems that the lights are high and may be shining into oncoming traffic.

no flashes yet but i can see that i am lighting up the interior of cars when i come up behind them.

i just got adjusting the Zenon headights on my 530. The two screws on top on the housing are for both X-axis ( Side to Side) and Y-axis ( Height ). My side to side is fine, i adjusted the lights lower and this was done to turning the screws clockwise.
Caution: use right size scre driver or you will scrip the thread on the housing $$$$$$$.

Kinda curious why they don't auto-height adjust like my xenons though.. My 330Cic is an '03 - maybe that's it.

the 530 also has the auto height adjust but it seemed that the resting height after the intial adjust was a wee bit higher. With the adjustment that i did now the height seems to be more at a acceptable height. Any comments / tips is appreciated.

i talked to the dealer and mabe i can get them to let me lok at the "wall" this is a wall that they have at the local BMW dealership that has markings and graduations for the headlight adjustment. If i can get the reading i will get back to you.
