1995 325i m3 package

I just picked up a used 1995 325i with an "m3 package" it says m3 on the doors, floormats and on top of the engine. What does this mean and is my engine bigger then a normal 325i and how much horsepower does it have. Even the BMW mechanic has never seen it before

one of two things happened. The person that owned the car befor you dressed up there 325 in M3 clothing or you have a 95 M3. either way not a bad deal. How much did u pay for the car if you dont mind me asking?

no problem at all, 10,000. Which is reallllly good. Mint condition. The mechanic actually just told me it says 325i on it and the previous owner (only owner) said he didn't do anything so I thought the m3 package could infact have a better engine. And as to the post with the specs, is that the 325i m3 package or the actual m3?

It can't be an M3 because in 1995 there was no 4 door M3. Please specify if you car is 2 or 4 door. And there was no 325i M3 Package ever build. The only thing is to dress up the car with M3 parts like there was allready answered. Engine cover, door moulding, rims etc. all this can be replaced in a few minutes. Who ever sold you the car was not a BMW professional. If I would see the car I would tell you in 5 minutes exactly what it is. The best thing for you is to take it to the dyno and you'll see how much horsepower it'll put out.

And when your car is 2 door than it is not an 325i. It will be 325is.

Only 4 door M3's we're build in 1997 and 1998.

it's 4 door and where do I get a hold of a dyno I was asking around and no one knows. And what kind of costs would it be and everything, thanks btw I live in New Jersey

Yep, still trying to figure this out. Does it have a 325i badge and an M3 emblem? 2 door or 4 door? Just running the VIN will tell you for sure or looking at the registration.

no no no I know it's a 325i I just wanted to know if it's a different engine then the regular car and I'm assuming when he said m3 package, it was an m3 package somewhere else, like what they called it at the store

No prob, sounds like just a regular 325i with a few M3 emblems on the exterior. 189HP if I remember, one less than my 97 328ic. Sorry, thought you were looking for the M3 specs for 95.

If its a 4 door than it is not an M3 for shure. Do you have picture of the car?

Maybe the car was made as an order for someone and he decided not to buy it so than this person bought it and they didn't say anything in the dealer. It might have a M3 package but the engine will be 325i beacuse BMW would not sell car like that. If it would have a M3 engine than it certanly is an M3. So why it would say 325i? you got it?

You have 325i 100% but dont worry. Its the best.

M3 engine = M3 Badge!

Is it an M3 Badge or engine cover? Yes 1995 325i is one of the best ever build. if you have 325i only with chip you can get up to 212HP. and there is still lot more to go.

Dunno......they sell M3 badges everywhere, guess someone wanted it to look like a M3. Your 325 engine is fine and should treat you well. Hope you do not think this is a slam, just trying to help you out and figure it out as well. Would take the M3 badges off though as it is not a M3....up to you though. There is a pretty big mechanical difference with a M3 package....suspention as well. I have heard that in Europe, M packages are sold as a dealer option for appearance but not in the US that I have seen. Usually a sport package.

give me the low down on a chip, the chip cost and all maintence included. Also how well do Torando intakes work, I hear that add 15 horses. What else can I do other then putting in a 3000 dollar exaust

Yeah I don't like the misrepresentation of the car either, the m3 badges you can't even see it's just on like floormats and under the hood. Nothing big and I don't want there to be spots where it looks like there should have been a place for a badge, ya know? I'll just leave em, no big deal

Does it have a M logo oil cap and is the oil cap in front of the engine or in the back of the engine?
