530i, 1995 model, automatic, needs to open the head lights

Hi Guys

I have the subject car. I need to open the left head lights. Anyone who could help me step by step as how to open it. I have attempted to open it once but stopped as it is bit difficult to open the plastic grill which is around the two head lights.

Once i take the head lights out then i need to change the head light motor.

Any help will be highly appreciated

what exactly do you mean by the head light motor?
maybe something got messed up in translation or
maybe i don't know everything about these cars...
but let me know how it goes =]

Nice link Martin. I too am curious about the "headlight motor", unless they made some 5 series not sold in the US with retractable headlamps?

The exact name is "Head Light vertical aim control motor" Will send you the pics also.. I just want to know as how to take the front grill out from the head lights portion.
I have taken out the screws from the front grill, but still some thing is ther due to which the head lights are not coming out. (530i 1995 model, V-8) Shall be grateful if some one can help meout.

Hi Guys

The Germans never thought that how difficult it will be to take the head light grill out. One can hardly see the plastic clips which are attached with the grill. I had tried my level best to remove it, but was not successful.
I want to thank you for the link you had given. But shall be greatful if i can get the pictures from the Bentley manual. Will be great help if somone can help me.
