I know a lot of people make there own threads about what kind of system they are making, but now I am going to do the same.
I am currently working on fiberglass boxes for my recently purchased 1997 328is.
Here is what I am putting in and a few picture of it:
I will start with the subs, I am putting 2 12" Alpine Type S
The boxes are being made currently, and here is what my brother and I have come up with, so far.
I am sorry that I have to put the picture in like this, but I will have to link them to it, hope its not to bad.
To power the subs I got told that an Alpine MRD-M605 will power the two subs, the question here is.. will it?
I am thinking of making a mounting bracket for it on the top part of the trunk (there is a metal bar there that should be easy to mount to.
The head unit I am going to buy is an Alpine CDA9857 that I will be connecting my iPod to, thinking of putting the iPod in the glove compartment (and would be nice if someone else that has done this could give me a few tips)
I think thats about it, I am going to buy all the stuff when I get my drivers (yeah I know, crazy isn't) I got the two subs from my brother (new, wanted to put them in his truck but didn't fit) so I went to Visions and got a quote for the deck, amp, and iPod connector (there also going to do some of the install for me). They priced me out about 1180 canadian for everything.
