I am considering having a local Dinan dealer in Clearwater Re-chip and do some
minor mods to the engine totaling about $1,200.
The dealer claims I will feel a difference. My question to all of you is do any of you
have experience with a rechipped M3?
Does it really make a difference?
I thought about a turbo charger and all of that but I do not want to
spend that kind of money and the dealer even talked me out of it.
He swears it will make a nice difference for only $1,200.
Comments please.
Thank you.

Check www.dinanbmw.com

They will give a hp and torque increase for the mods you are thinking about.

It sounds like you are getting a chip (actually a software download), intake, and perhaps something else.

The general consensus is the OBD II cars (1996-on) don't get much of an increase from such modifications.
