my window switches used to be active with the key out of the ignition and the door open, as long as the switch was pressed while the door was still closed, meaning i could pull the key out, push the window up switch, open the door and the window would continue up all the way while i held the switch up button.

now this doesn't work, when i open the door the window stops going up. anybody know what the deal is about that?

That happens to me when i disconnect the battery for any reason, the first few times i start up the car, my drivers side auto fully open/close doesnt work and when i switch the car off, windows freeze up, but after the first few start ups it goes back to normal...

i don't have auto up/down switches, i have to hold them manually. what i'm describing is like a convenience feature that has stopped working.

Mine also stop rolling up when I open the door. I do have those auto up switches though; when I fully press the up button, I can shut the engine off and take out the key but as soon as I open the door, the windows freeze in the middle.
