Next saturday I'll be in Miami making some electronic business. After some comparisions I decided to buy the Active Autowerke exhaust for my '97 328i. I choosed it for the performance they claim and the exelent noise (they have a .wav file in their site). Please advice me about to continue with this idea or not, perhaps some of you have experienced this muffler.

Any input will deserve a [^]

AA Exhaust System--Incredible

I bought the Active Autowerke exhaust system a couple of months ago and am very impressed. Not only is the price affordable (as compared to others), the craftsmanship and fit is excellent. I installed the system in about 2 hours, I didnt need to modify or bend any brackets, It looks fantastic and sounds even better. On a side note, their customer service was fantastic. I ordered the product late in the day over the internet and got a call from them 30 minutes later to inform me they received the order and were trying to get it out today. I buy a lot of high performance auto parts and AA was by far the best all around company. Take a look at their website and what they are accomplishing on BMW and compare that to the other companies selling BMW performance and you will see they know what they are doing.

A million thanks for al your comments, I'll do that step.

My 328i is a german model one. There is no straight (pain-less) DME mods for it. The logical one -Shark Injector- doesn't work on the european BMW cars.

Have two non-sleep nights thinking about to give AA my DME in order to let them to make the mod they offer in the AA web page. ($600)

The muffler is riskyless operation, but if the DME surgery goes bad I'll be taking cabs for some weeks, I LIVE IN COLOMBIA!!

PLEASE TELL ME SOMETHING ABOUT THIS MATTER!!!!!!!
[rolleyes]

Have you noticed any power change or is it only a $600 pleasant noise maker?

Great looking exhaust. It's a little on the quiet side -- which I dont mind. The power gain is there, but not much. It felt a little better than the intake addition though. I dont regret the purchase. However, I found some distibutors out there charges you LESS for the exhaust than AA themselves -- so shop around.
