AC/Fan Control Unit Removal

how do u take this out....the thing under the cd player, which controls ur air conditioning, temp, fan......also how do u take out the window control switches, along with thing that shows what gear ur in (in an automatic)....the reason i need this is im switchin out the orange lights, changin them 2 bright red LED's....already got the OBC done, i jus need someone help removing the rest of the stuff....thanx

ok i got that....now how do i pull it out of the car...i can take the face off....but i cant seem 2 figure out how 2 pull the whole piece out

im sorry, i dont have your style AC control unit, else id help ya out...ill keep looking though. g'luck.

ok, i think i got it...you will need to remove the OBC. when youve remove the face plate, push the control unit back and down(use the OBC opening). that's basically what the bentley manual says(pg 640-7,8)

k i'll try....the picture u sent me was definately the same control unit i have...i have a 95 325i.... after i took the face off, the piece behind it was bigger than the opening and it wouldnt come out....but thanx 4 the help, i'll try that

yeah, the bentley manual definately shows your "knob" style unit...btw, dont forget to get some pics.
