[driving] I have a 98 M3 which I lost the keyfob to. My control unit in the car reads FCC ID: A269ZUA110 The used keyfob I bought via ebay reads FCC ID: A269ZUA111. I have tried programming just as the instructions read but when it comes time to enroll new keyfob the led light in the car does not turn off temporarily to acknowledge new keyfob as the instructions say it should. The keyfob is a working keyfob but i cant get it to enroll into my system. Any suggestions. Thanks

I just bought a 98 328i with a factory alarm system, but no key fob - waiting to receive the one bought on ebay. I assume you followed the instructions which say 1st disarm the alarm - open the trunk and dr. door - sit in dr. seat - close door - turn key quickly five times to position 2, etc. Are these the same as the instuctions you received?

Just got my keyless fob, and followed directions. Didn't work first time, because I closed the trunk too soon in the process. Did it again, and works great now. Is the alarm LED constant red, or blinking. Did you disarm the alarm first, by disconnecting neg. battery cable? If when you're done, it's not blinking, then it's still in the learning mode. Did the siren chirp at you at any time?
