Wow Sean, I have no idea? That would be a good question for a good BMW parts rep.
Now I have a good question for you BIg Daddy, where can I find one of these BMW parts rep that is competent? Because, the dealer was no help; called them and was put on hold for 10 minutes, and when the "mechanic" came on the line, I was told adding an amp whether BMW or not would void the warranty...I tried to explain to 'expert' that my car was 10 years old, and does not have a warranty. He then got a bit fresh with me saying that many e36 may still have a warranty, so he was just clarifying. Dead silence for about 10 seconds and then he asked me if he could help me with anything else. I thanked him for giving me his time and hung up and posted on this board.

So Big Daddy, please guide me in the right direction. Bav. Autosports?

Thanks.

Sean

For a question of that sort I think I would ask Crutchfields they have always been very helpful to me. I am also surprised at the responses from your dealer, mine is very helpful with these types of questions.
Good Call as usual Big Daddy! [thumb]
Although I have called BavAuto on a couple of occasions(even though I have never ordered their High-priced goods) to get an answer to a question and they have ALWAYS been helpful and knowledgeable..if the person I was talking to didnt know the answer he/she would find someone who did and it was usually pretty on point...if you want I can call my stereo guy on monday and ask him and post the answer...he pretty much knows everything when it comes to stereos in German cars....as a matter of fact He installed the GPS system into the 150 Ford GT's that are going to be for sale in Europe! Good Guy and knows his shi-ite!

I can't see why it wouldn't fit. Why don't you just go aftermarket Sean?

You'll get much better sound quality not to mention more wattage.

Tom,

Two reasons: Price and ease. If it's plug and play I won't have to do any splicing. Also, it will mount much easier, I hoping.

There's someone selling it for %50 shipped; good price?
