If you have not checked lately speed limits are going up in Germany these days. Even before you were unlikely to see much over 120mph.

My 325 would have to be doing in excess of 170mph to see a drive shaft speed of 6500 RPM--not likely to happen unless the car is operating in a vacuum. This is based on RPM at 75mph.

Steve--who has been in Germany and most European countries a bunch of times.
Well, you figure my car runs at about 3500 RPM to go 75. My 5th gear's ratio is .81:1 (.81 engine revolutions to every 1 driveshaft revolution) and my final drive is 3.73:1 which is why my car revs so high at highway speeds (designed like that, and i still get 34 - 36 mpg highway)

Even then, it's nearly 4,000 RPM of a 70 pound driveshaft. Go 133, my top speed, which is 6,200 rpm. That's something like 7500 RPM. It doesnt matter if you're not going to drive 130 or 170 mph!!! It's still DESIGNED to spin that fast. If it were unbalanced, even at 10 mph it would go nuts.

do you know how to check to see if ur guibo is out? Just LOOK UNDER THE CAR where the transmission connects to the drive shaft. It will be VERY apparent if the guibo is shot. It will look nowhere close to that picture posted - instead the fibers will be spilling out. Cost to replacE? About $120 at most.
