lately ive been seeing bmws selling in the 35-38g range with no bad mileage is this all because of the 04's or what?

used u mean? yeah used will always drop steady. new m3 coming eventually so prices might go down some

The E46 M3 will be old news soon enough. It happens to the mightiest of cars.

M3s are not rare enough for them to be serious collector cars. They will be appreciated in later years, much like an E36 M3 or E34 M5 is appreciated today. Such is the fate of the E39 M5 and virtually all other cars.

The E34 M5 is rembered differently from the E39. E34 was the last ever HAND-BUILT M series. to put it into perspective only something like 250 right hand drive E34 M5's were made they are very very rare. but still only fetch $13-$15k with 90k miles or so. the best bargin ever. the M3 market is rock bottom. always will be. too many are sold for it to hold high residual value compared to the 5.
