I am wondering whether anybody has experience putting two car seats in the back of a new 5-series and whether that leaves any room for a person to sit with the two seats in the back.
I have a 2000 540i-6 & I put one seat in the center & another on the driver side.My wife has room to sit on the remaining side. Now we have a 3rd baby & put the baby seat on the remaining spot.
I have two car seats in the back of my new 5 series and you can sit someone between them, but I'd say a larger person (like me at 6'3") would not be very comfortable. And I don't think it'd be very comfortable for anyone on a longer trip. I'd try Heine's set up so that a person sitting in the back is by the door and not in the middle.
Thanks both for the quick response. Sounds like it's doable. Then I guess the next question is whether there is enough room in the trunk for all the stuff that goes with the babies!
Yes, there is plenty of trunk space for strollers etc., at least the fold up variety. In fact, when I need to, I can take both Britax cars seats out and fit them in the trunk while I have all adults riding w/ me.
