I brought car in FINALLY for ball joint. They told me they ripped the "boot" (I thought so too). Had to order the control arm assembly-can pick it up Sat. (An awful lot of hammering going on in there! SOMEONE F#*KED UP! Just a thought)
My poor car!
Hoping all is well when I pick Her up.
Yes... there is a point to this- sorry. Anything I should look out for, or know about? I was told alignment not needed!
Monro Tire and Brake, Clinton, CT.
They are giving me the control arm for the price of ball joint, plus an oil change. So at least they are trying.
Thanks for any thoughts,
-Mel

I would've though alignment too!, was assured not needed. Sure enough no vibration or pull from 1 MPH to 80 MPH, steering wheel well centered.
I'll watch tread pattern on dry pavement next time I go over a wet spot.
I think (hope) I'm O.K.!
Front end still feels "light" though.
30 lbs cold press. too high? Running pretty basic Michelins.
Thanks for your thoughts,
-Mel

I don't have a manual, no door sticker. BMW says 35?!! Wait-you have the 6- I have the 4 (318) may be an engine/ weight thing. I thought I read somewhere that 30 psi is correct. (?)
Never mind!
