M Performance parts for the BMW M2 have been revealed. The components will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show 2016 and will be offered as optional extras for the BMW M2 from March 2016.

The M Performance parts are constructed from carbon reinforced plastic and include a set of front and side sill attachments, rear diffuser, mirror caps and a rear boot lid spoiler. A new M Performance radiator grille for the front and side is available finished in high-gloss black with integrated BMW M logo and BMW M colours red, blue and light blue.

BMW will also offer an M Performance flap silencer system for the exhaust which is controlled via a bluetooth. It has two settings, Sport and Track. Sport offers additional noise for the road, Track offers a more intense sound for the race track. The tips are 80 millimetres in diameter or alternatively, BMW offer a 93 millimetre version with carbon fibre trim.

For the suspension, the BMW M2 can be fitted with the BMW M Performance coil-spring suspension which reduces ground clearance by 20 millimetres. The shock absorbers can be adjusted to 16 levels in rebound and 12 in compression. BMW M Performance sports brake pads also offer increased performance and reduced fade.

The interior of the BMW M2 gets a BMW M Performance LED door sill cover strip for the driver and passenger side, M Performance floor mats constructed from rubber and textile fibre and stainless steel pedal covers. A retrofit Alcantara covering for the steering wheel and an M Performance Pro steering wheel are also available.

Finally, the M Performance Interior Kit Carbon provides carbon fibre trim elements for the twin-clutch transmission gear selector level, centre console and handbrake handle. Everything else is pure BMW M2!
