BMW on Wall Street

Took a quick look at the new BMW of Manhattan site on Wall Street. Doors aren't open, but showroom is filled and I finally got the chance to see the new 3. It looks decent from the front, bland from the sides and really bad from the rear. Seems to me they spent a lot of time improving the powertrain (20 MPG city, 30 MPG highway is pretty incredible given the performance) and thought about the sheetmetal last. It shows. Next to the new Audi fleet, looks more like something from the Land of the Rising Sun.

There will be a lot of stock brokers walking into that dealership to pay for a BMW up front. I think that is such a great location for a dealership, I will have to check that place out some time.

Those stock brokers will soon decide the BMW they bought was their last when they visit BMW of Manhattan's service dept and their "monkey's with wrenches" techs...
