Brake Lining Wear Indicator On... Now What?

#1
So the little (O) light just came on 2 days ago. I guess I need new brake pads... and sensors.... and rotors? Do I have to replace all 3 of those.. and are there any other things I should replace while I have everything disassembled? I guess I might as well rotate the tires too...

Also, how long do I have to replace them? It's already been about 2 days, I figure I could order the stuff and have it here in 4 days and do the job on the weekend, is that OK?

Thanks!

just because the light is on it doesnt mean you need new brakes/rotors. it could just mean that the sensor is bad. inspect the rotors/brakes. if they appear to be in good condition, just replace the sensor. if the sensor is working id say you have a few hundred miles left.

P.S.
i did the same thing you did, and i now have a new set of rotors and brakes. [B)]

I agree with manuel your brake pads friction material minimum thickness is 5/64 inch. Need to replace brake idicators sensors about $14.00 @ the dealer. Front/Rear Disc minmum thickness refer to the demension mark on the disc. Front/Rear Disc maximum disc runout 0.007 inch.
