Brake rotors/pads

I'm getting cross drilled for the front and slotted in the back for my 325I, but does anyone know which is better zimmerman or brembo... or if there is something better than those two brands. Also I need a good set of high perfromance pads, I was looking at a set of axxis ultimate pads, but I don't know alot about the company. Please leave any suggestions or ideas you may have. Thank you.

Zimmerman and Brembo are both top quality. Axxis pads are good, it depends mostly on what you want. Less dusting, quicker stops, long lasting. And what type of driving you are doing?

I'm doing mostly street driving, but I want a high performace brake package, because I do race occasionally. Do you know of any other good ceramic pad that I could use with those rotors? Also do you think cross drilled in the front and slotted in the back is a good set up?

Crossed drilled warp easier than non-cross drilled and are a great track rotor because you change them often. If you use cross drilled be sure that they are factory cross drilled and not aftermarket drilled. I have heard that "Frozen Rotors" are the way to go however as of yet have not tried them. I also like gas slotted and have ATE's gas slotted on my 318is. My M roadster has Brembo's however they are not slotted or cross drilled. My 750iL has stock rotors, but is getting due for new pads and rotors. I have been running metalmaster pads.

For street, and occasional race, I highly recommend the slotted over cross drilled. For the track only, get the cross drilled. Big Daddy was correct about Frozen, but cross drilled rotors will crack no matter what application. Cross drilled rotors show their benefits only on cars that are tracked and inspected/replaced after each race.

Thanks for all the help, I think I'm going with brembo slotted all around, and axxis cermamic pads, the company says they performe better than metalmaster with less dust, and last much longer.
