I have a 1994 325i convirtable, my local shop said my pads need to be replaced but dont have the cash to have them do it. I am very mechanically inclined and am a mechanic on 2 strokes but dont have very much experience with cars. I wanted to knw how hard it is to install the pads and if enyone knows of a site that would have a tutorial on it? I know the sensors will need to be replaced too but is there anything else?

If your brake light isn't coming on, you may not have to replace the sensors. Just be careful when removing the sensors from the original pads.

changing brake pads is easy to do. you don't need to be a mechanic to do it. As long as you have tools you can replace brake pads easily. I recommend for you to buy a repair manual for your bmw model (Haynes (cheaper) or Bentley) and all you have to do is follow the step by step process of changing pads.
