Bulb Codes

I have been having troubles with the bulbs in the clusters in the rear (brake and taillight). The bulb codes aren't in my haynes manual so i wandered if anyone know the correct bulbs needed for each spot.

Try calling Autozone or the Dealer. They should have the bulbs you need available. I took my car to Autozone last week and they had replacement reverse light bulbs for my E36.

I had the same troubles finding bulbs for my e30. The owners manual just said it needed 21/5 watt bulbs for turn signal (meaning theres a 5 watt and 21 watt filament).

Unfortunately, there are very few bulbs/packages that give you the wattage, but i DID find the bulbs at kmart, they were made by phillips and actually said 21w/5w.

Just remove the tail light at the local auto part store, bring it to them and they will match it up for you. Not sure what brand I got but was in stock. Bring a socket with you for the reinstall. Takes 2 min, real easy to do.
