Hello,

I am thinking about buying my first BMW, and was hoping to get a 325 with manual transmission somewhere between the years 1992 and 1995.
I was hoping that someone might provide me with some trouble-prone areas that I might want to look for as I start my search.
I really appreciate any comments that anyone has to offer.

Thanks!
Eric

radiator/thermostat!!
AC system (should be converted to 134a by now)
flex disc (rubber deal between tranny and driveshaft)

There are other things but those are the main things I would look for if I was picking up another M50/E36

Above advice + paint oxidation, rust, and MOST IMPORTANTLY check the rear subframe. Make sure there are no cracks in the steel in the trunk area, and no clunks or anything.

Um well i just bought a 1995 convertible, with 98,000. The radiator return line broke off, the plastic coupling on the radiator actually broke clean off I have no clue how, I think its one of those freak things. it sucks though. But I dont think its a factory problem with all the cars.
