cAN FRONT ROTOR BE TURNED?

I need to know if the front rotors can be turned. My steering wheel shakes when I lightly hit the brakes.

If they are at a minimum thickness they can, however BMW/BMW tuners does not recommend it as the rotors are inexpensive enough that most people simply replace them.

Yup, it'll cost you 75% as much to turn the rotor as it is to just replace it.

The shaking could also be from worn lower control arm bushings. Don't assume it's the rotors.

What brand should I get? I see Bavaran Autosports have many. I don't race the car, but would like something that will last. I found records in the car where they been replaced before, by a BMW dealership. Are stock rotor that bad? And are the wheel bearing in the rotor?

Stock rotors are not bad. In general, I have found that European rotors (on my Volvo & BMW)do not last as long as US rotors. I have read that this is actually a design "feature" - they are engineered slight softer than US manufacturers for better braking power, but they wear faster.

The wheel bearings/hub are not part of the rotor.

I've personally NEVER re-used rotors but then again I am kind of anal about having the best brakes possible.
