I know this is the stupidest question you've heard, but the dealer gave me the wrong owner's manual when I bought my used 97 328IS so I can't figure out where the battery is. I know where to go to jump it, but where the hell is the battery? I looked in the back trunk area and couldn't find it there. It seems the battery is completely dead for the first time since I've owned it in 3.5 years.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!! [burnout]

Welcome to the board!

The battery is located in the trunk, underneath the plastic access panel in the right rear fender well.

I know where my battery is on my 325i because it is currently not connected to the car! I had to disconnect it because my lights won't quit blinking because the car thinks it has been stolen. See, I let my battery run completely down because I left my lights on all night and when I jumped my car, it thought that someone had tried to steal it, so now my turn signals in the front and my brake lights in the back are flashing. I think that it has an aftermarket alarm on it that I didn't know about and it needs to be disconnected. I wish I knew someone who could help! My brother is coming over later to try to figure it out.
