CDC Brake quiet should work. How new are the pads? Were the discs recut? If they are under 400miles they may need to still bed in. The discs may be scored. If the pads do have over 400miles on them you may want to give them a good 70 - 0 stop.

I have ceramics, and also added drilled and slotted rotors. I was told it takes a good 500 miles to completely break them in/seat properly, so if there is noise that could be the issue. If your rotors weren't re-cut or replaced that could definately cause the noise.

mybabym3, decreased performance??? I have been extremely pleased with them. The only thing I dislike is the high amount of break dust they create--but I will gladly deal with that for the better performance.

Man that is strange. I don't have noise and my brake dust is way down since I replaced them I have had them on for nearly one month. I got them from bimmerparts.com I wonder if they sent me the right pads???? My only gripe is the loss in stopping power. I could tell a difference right off the bat. and it doesn't feel alot better than from day one. I wish I would have gotten Pagid or Hawks I drive my car hard and hit the brakes alot.

I think you should all give Pagid racing pads a try. Fairly expensive but they are absolutely awesome. They bite well which ceramic pads usually lack, and I've never ever had fade. Excellent pads, and very trustworty. But, expensive.

I think the reason the ceramic pads 'aint biting so hard is because they only work properly at very high temperatures. For example, the ceramic brakes on the Porsche GT3-RS can reach temps of 900 degrees CELSIUS!

Ceramic brakes, IMO, are a bit of a waste unless you frequently track your car. Even conventional racing pads are noisy and less effective unless they have serious heat in them. In normal driving, this can be a liability.

epj3 sorry about your misfortune. Hope you get another Bmw soon.
poboyis, I do have half the brake dust or even less. I am not saying they are bad pads. I got the car only a coulple of months ago. I am not sure what was done to the car as far as upkeep and for all I know it had something like Pagid pads which is why I feel these aren't up to par. I just don't know. I am going through now and changing several things around on it and keeping documentation on all of it for myself and the next owner.
