Hi All,

I just got my new E90 330i. It was a showroom car and
had only 10 miles on it but when it came time to deliver it
did not start and had to be jumped. [:(]

The salesman said that it OK since the car had the headlamps on
from time to time etc..

Since I left the dealership the "Check Engine Soon" light has been
on and I am taking it back tomorrow to the service dept.

Is anything I should be aware other than maybe something simple?

Thanks...

Whoa, relax it is not unusual to have to wait a day or two for a reply! I mean it is not like your paying for this service.

It is not uncommon for a car off the showroom floor to experience a dead battery. The check engine soon light could be responding to a low voltage reading as a result of the dead battery, It could also be something simple as a loose or missing gas cap.

This thread had a lot of views. Nobody responded because you said the car drove fine after the initial dead battery issue. We cannot diagnose any issues with the car if it is running fine with just a "Check Engine Soon" light on.
