I would not bother with it in my opinion. I have a 97 with the climate control....they tend to burn out with a glitch. Stick with the bullet proof knob one. There is no wow factor in the digital one. Just my 2 cents. Someone posted a link a while back and it can be done....custom wiring job. You can get the units used off ebay for under 200 bucks.....some extensive mod is involved though. Hope this helps you out.[thumb]

My digital, I never adjust it in the summer, set it to 60 degrees for both sides.....it is Mississippi. Wish the heater worked as well as the AC for the winter months.....[:(!]

Again, yes, you can retro fit one, no it will not be cheap. A pretty digital screen that the later model E36 has quirks in is not worth it. I had a link somewhere with a lenghty conversion from earlier E36 HVAC controls to the digital one. If I can find it again, will hook you up. Be prepared for ass pain and alot of time to get it right for just a few pretty red lights you will not use much. Not slamming you....but save the money, used HVAC digital, around 200 bucks....hopefully it works OK, then the trial and error, dash removal.......lots of other things I would rather do with an early model E36 besides that. Just my 2 cents.[;)]
