Hello,
I 've recently purchased 1997 328i (with 89k miles on it)
The digital clock on the OBC doesn't work (it doesn't light up at all).
My car has the 18 button OBC. All other functions on OBC seems
to work fine.
Has anyone else have (or has had) similar problem?
If the problem is with the light bulb behind the clock, do we
need to disconnect the battery before unplugging OBC?
I don't have the radio code, so I don't want to disconnect
the battery. I will have to figure out what to do if I ever need
to replace the battery.
FYI, so far (within the last few months), I have replaced the following:
- Brake Light Switch,
- Water Pump (with a metallic impellar)
- Fan Blade (plastic fan behind the radiator) - it broke while driving
- Multi Rib Belt
- Hood Strut
- I am about to put the secondary air pump, control vavle, new spark plugs.
(and Fuel Filter, and the transmission filter & fluid change)
Anything else you guys can think of as preventivive maintenance ?
