K i had to take a quick hour road drive south of me today so i took my 96 bmw 328i. Drivin along and on comes the check engine light.. great i think [chair] but no change i feel in the engine so i keep driving (its in the middle of no where so not much i can do tell i get to cheyenne anyways.) three starts later the check engine light goes off.. [clap] so think its just an idle error or it fixed itself... later tonight get out of the local coffee shop and on it comes on again [xx(] . I have a code reader so i come home and pull the codes and up comes codes p1421 secondary air intake bank 2 and p1423 secondary air intake bank 1. K what are those? Secondary air intake what?

I also been having some weird idle problems, I have changed all 4 o2 senors and that seemed to have fixed it for a bit but the problem came back.. could this have anything to do with it? Well any help would be great! thanks

Has anyone but me relized that tracing the vacuum lines on a 328i is like brain surgery... It does have a wistle problem from the rear of the engine tords the cab but can't really feel or see where... without twisting my hand off. [B)] uhmm. ok well anymore help would be great, like maybe where i can get a diagram of the vacume line set up. [confused] Thanks!

Its now pulling a code p0135? [screwy] o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction bank 1 sensor 1? is that the o2 sensor itself or something else? I am tracing a bunch of vac lines.. (three burns later and a twisted wrist) [scream] I had the car in the shop on monday for a fix on the rear driveline that was shudderin at 28mph.. $250.00 later and a baffeled tech still that problem is not fixed. Is this new code also vacuum related? help? lol [?|]

As far as the codes are concerned, the chances are that only 1 thing may be wrong (whatever it is), but that 1 thing is affecting the function of other things/sensors etc so their codes will also be raised as a result.

P1421 Intake Air Low Pressure Switch Circuit High Voltage
P1423 Intake Air High Pressure Switch Circuit High Voltage
P0135 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1

You might have a bad MAF sensor and a bad O2 sensor.

Good Luck

Yea i know its something to do with the vac system somewhere... k i can not get any insight to whats installed around the transmission area but theres a big wistle coming from the middle area to front top of the transmission.. is there a vacuum anything around this area that would be causing this wistle? This wistle is ever so anoying and had it up on jacks listening and all and its around that area, but cant get my hands around. Any insight would be helpful before i brake down again and take it to a shop.
