So what is the scoop on this beautiful car??? What can I expect (expenses)???
What would be a good purchase price from a dealer? Insurance Costs??? How long will it last??? I hope to own it 5 plus years... is it possible?

The car looks very nice exterior and interior wise, and even under the hood it looks nice... but nice is not always the best...

However, I did test drive it and man it drives really nice... No weird sounds... no nothing... However what worries me is that it is at a dealer that is asking $6000-6500...

Ask for the service records? 105,000 is nothing if the car is maintain it sounds like the car was maintain, I believe service II should have been performed at 80,000 miles look at the service bars on the instrument panel. The price is not bad if the car is in good shape as you describe. Check the kelly book on the web to see how much the car is worth. Good luck.

I would have the car inspected by a mechanic you trust. Mileage is not a concern if properly maintained, check the service records with the shop he took the car to or with BMW. Book price is about 7k to 9k, so the price is within range. The biggest thing is to have it inspected.

I agree with Big Daddy. Many (most/all?) BMW dealers will do a pre-sale inspection for used BMWs. They go over the car like a state inspection, but look for other things as well - general motor condition, etc. It might cost you $100 or so, but it is well worth it. If the dealer IS a BMW dealer, take it to another BMW dealer, or a good BMW independent mechanic.

Assuming this is a used car (non-BMW) dealer, tell them you want to do this. If they balk, they might be hiding something.

1) I strongly recommend buying the one with manual transmission if you really like to drive.
2) Do not buy from a dealer, many of them are crooks and they sure know how to clean the car so it looks "nice". Find a private party seller and take the car to the shop for inspection, it will be much cheaper this way.
3) Insurance greatly depends on your location, here in SF it's one of the highest but I was able to get a good deal from Geico, try them.

Good Luck!
