Can anyone give me advise on how to fix this. 1997 328i automatic convertible top, when put up, there are elastic stringson both sides that when the top is completely up are pulled tight so that the metal mechanism is covered by the interior top. It seems that both of these have pulled away from the plastic piece that is attached to the actual top. Basically the plastic pieces have broken and now the top just hangs down in the back not covering the mechanical parts. ![[idea]](/images/smilies/icon_smile_idea.gif "Idea! [idea]")
