I have a 98' 328ic and my top will only start to open about 1/4 of the way then the rear window is supposed to raise up so the rear deck can open. The window will not raise up. The process stops there, so the deck never will raise unless the window goes up. There doesn't seem to be any motor noise or anything going on after that first 1/4 movement. Has anyone had the same problem? I hear stuff like I need new straps .......but it seems as though it is a motor or relay problem. Please [email protected][???1] [???1]
