Door panel question

I have a little problem w/ a door panel not wanting to stay on. i think the clips are just bad, but also the locking mechanism seems messed up. it only locks if i manually push the lock thing down from inside- wont lock w/ the key- it just keeps popping up. oh yah- 93 325i

first you need to remove the door panel and see whats keeping the locking mechanism from working. check the clips on the door panel, if they are good then its something on the door that might be missaligned or blocking the clips from snapping in.
