Driver side power winodw problems

I have had an ongoing probelm with the driver side power winodw. It usually starts with a slight grinding sound when the door is closed which initiates the "close with door shut feature". Eventually the motor will stop working with the window in the fully closed position. Tt seems like the motor and the winow gear get jammed, but can't be sure as you can't see it. I have already replaced the motor once, and it seemed fine for several months, but just started again. I have chceked the window adjustments according to the Bentley manual, and they seem fine. Any ideas?

How does the gearing look? Is the pinion gear or the teeth of of any other parts stripped, missing or clogged? Check the tracks make sure they are free of debris and that you have all for the rubbers, also make sure the track itself is not misalighed.

You might be on to something. I checked the tracks today, and they could definitely do with cleaning and regraesing. Also, one of the plastic runners that slide along the bottom track of the winodw appears to be broken, so that the pin might not be holding it exactly in place. I will try to find one of these tomorrow, and get some good grease to lubricate. Thanks Zack for the suggestion.
