I drive a 97 328i and would like to know if I can just do a straight swap of my current instrument with a M3 instrument? If not, would appreciate some help on how to get it to work on my ride.

Thanks,
kenn

yes you can just put it right in. the wiring harness is the same. Since it is all electrically controled your speed won't be thrown off either, that goes for the RPM's as well. I put an M3 guage cluster in my 97 328is and there were no prob at all. It sucks to get it out of the car tho. That took me a while. You have to turn the steering wheel and pull it out at the same time. Oh and good luck trying to get the harnesses undone inside your car when you remove your unit..........it is almost impsosible to get your hand back in there. Any questions just let me know. Oh yeah write down you mileage before you take yours out because it will have the M3's milage, not your current milage.
