Flickering Climate Control lights

Hi all,

I have the digital duel climate control fitted in my 96 328i

I recently fixed the problem were by it would shut down at random, and dim etc it was a failed cap on the power rails that fails to smooth the 12 volts as the voltage fluctuates during driving. However i still find that the blue (temp down) LEDs flicker. I dont however know where to look for the transistors that drive them are. I have little knowlege of this board other than the power line and regulator and wondered has anyone got a scimatic or had this problem.

Incidently if anyone has the Shuting down problem i have a detailed istruction doc. and a few capaitors left that i used to replace it with.

if you have the knowledge to open it up, do so. solder EVERY solder spot you see on the board.

I had exactly the same problem. I carefully took the unit out and drop kicked it into the garbage can. It took three kicks but it finally went in. Then I went to my charge way to much dealer and got a rebuilt one. He happened to have a whole shelf full of them. Things been working great ever since.
