fog lights and brighter bulbs ?

wasnt sure where this post should go [???1] but here goes anyways.
i have an original m3 front bumper with the lights in them i changed the bulbs for some brighter ones and they were fine. until i noticed that one went out so i fixed the loose wires and was back on track again.
the new bulbs burn really hot cause their so bright which i like but is there anything i can do about the wires in the foglamp itself to keep them from gettin brittle and breaking apart from the heat ?

I dont really have a solution to your problem unfortunately, however, i was just curious as to whether you got brighter halogens or whether you got a xenon conversion kit?

their just higher wattage bulbs that i bought at the local speed shop

would be be a good idea to run a thicker guage wire for my foglights so they dont get as hot?
