I believe my father had a bit too much to drink last night when he came up with the idea of putting a 1996 M3 engine into an E30 325IS. I have since become intrigued my this notion. I know I will need the engine, gearbox, wiring harness, dash, ECU, motor mounts (maybe custom), custom exhaust, and probably a custom driveshaft. Does anyone have any information or links so I can build the FRANKENBIMMER? Any comment will be appreciated.

I ran across that mod *somewhere* on the net, someone has done it. If you Google enough I think you can find it.

If you do it, I wanna see it! I'm in SE Pa, I'll make the trip!

here in tpa a fellow baybimmer has an e30 with an e36 m3 motor in it. his car's in the banner at the top of the website. his name is brandon and his car was put in a magazine about 5 or 6 months ago, i can't remember which one. oh yeah, did i mention it's also boosted?!? he's a good guy and is a master mechanic. he can do absolutely anything!!!! he goes by revo86 in there.

There's a 1987 325IS that I'm going to look at this week. Its $500 and needs work! This could be the start of something beautiful!
