Fuel Consumption woes

Hi everyone.
This is my first post.

I've got a '94 316(i)A. I've had it for about a year and have been pretty happy with the fuel consumption untill recently. The consumption has suddenly dropped and now I'm lucky if I reach 400 km on a full tank.
Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?
The only thing I can think of that sort of coincided with the sudden change was the instalation of a new frontloader but I don't see how this could have had any effect on the consumption.

have you checked your air filter? A dirty one can cause a drop in consuption.

ohh... frequently problem

- check the resistance of your o2 sensor and the throttle valve with a multimeter, if they're damaged.

Or read the fault codes... that's more exactly.
