fuel expansion tank rattle

I just bought a fuel expansion tank from the dealer. That's the tank behind the passanger side rear wheel (not the vapor seperator). The thing is there is stuff inside that rattles quite a bit. Is that OK? Is it part of some kind of valve?
It's for a 97 M3.

I have the same issue now with a rattle. Is there a way to stop the rattle?
