Has anyone ever used any injector cleaners or engine casing cleaner?

I have a 96 328i with 120k on it and am considering using Sea Foam motor cleaner and am looking for a recommendation on a fuel injector cleaner.

I want to do this to improve mileage and increase the smoothness of the ride. It has gotten a bit sluggish over the last 8 months. Are there any other things I should look to do to accomplish these items?

I have used several different brands. I went to Advanced Auto Parts and looked through the cleaners and found one that was recomended for BMW's. The engine ran better after running 1/2 a tank.

What kind of gas do you buy?

I run Amoco Ultimate or Exon Premium. I have used these (2) brands only for many years.

When I have been the original purchaser of the vehicle; I am told by the mechanics that I have the cleanist injectors they have seen. This has been a consistant comment over the years.

The 328I was purchased used. I have been running Amoco only since I purchased it. I ran the cleaner thru on the first tank and had a noticable improvement. "pepy"

When you find something that works well, stick to it!

DO NOT USE SEAFAOM IN THE OIL!!!!!!!!!!! you have no leaks now but you will in about 6 months after using int in your oil... i does what it says it does but it is really hard on your seals and gaskets.. IT WOrkS great as a manifold / valve cleaner.. just do it like it says on the can..

1/3 can in a cup.. start engine let it get good and warm...remove a vacume line off your manifold .. use it like a straw to slurp it out of the cup ... do not submerge it in the solution let it slurp it off the side of the cup take your time.. you will have to keep your hand on the throttle leaver to keep your engine running.. when its gone turn your enging off let it sit for 15 or 20 minutes.. then start and let run for a while... it will smoke like a pig!! black smoke then white..

it will clear up take it for a drive and enjoy!! put the rest of the can in your gas tank... seafoam works great! but i would only ose it once or twice a year... use amsoil fuel additive or chevron techron every 6 tanks

I just tuned up the car about 8k ago. Would Seafoaming it cause any build up of carbons on plugs or 02 sensors? I have heard about this happening and dont want to have to tune all that up again after I seafoam it if that is common to happen. thanks.
