Bought a 98 318is six weeks ago. Within two weeks it was back in the dealers garage getting the cam shaft sensor fixed. Brought it to a BMW dealer to get spare key and was told the model had been recalled because the steering spindle was faulty. Picked it up from the garage today and it broke down again on the way home, very same symptoms as the earlier cam shaft sensor problem. Does anyone know of anything that might be causing the cam shaft sensor to go like this?
