I have a 1997 M3 and I 'm not sure what kind of engine I have. Some people have told me that my engine should say M Power on it. My engine doesn't say that........Is it possible that a 97 M3 engine might not say it or is my engine a regular V6. How do you find that out? Need help!
It should say M Power on the valve cover. You can use the VIN decoder and it will tell you. No BMW has or has ever had a V6, BMW does not make a V6. They are inline 6's. If your car is a true M3 it should have a 3.2 liter in it.
