How Far Back Does the Seat Go?

I just bought a 2000 528i.

Driver's seat doesn't seem to go very far back.

Does anyone know if this is simply the case with this model? Or have any ideas for how I can establish whether it's going all the way back or not? (BMW service dept. says it is.)

There appears to be a good couple of inches of track left. But it may well be that it's not designed to utilize the full lenghth of the track.

move the front seat all the way forward, and on the track by the hump there is a little clip. pop it out with your screw driver from the tool kit. It give you the extra room.
