Yup - I did the valve cover gasket and spark plugs in under an hour the first time I did it on my e36 - VERY easy. However, you might want to wait for a good time and get lots of sand paper and heat resistant spray paint and repaint your entire valve cover when it's off. I know mine is a '92 and it looks very bad with all the paint chipping. Just waiting till the next change to repaint though I with I had done it the first time.
Taking the door panels off is very easy and I'd imagine replace the window regulator is as well. When I had my panels off I only briefly looked as the power window assembly and it did not look that complicated.
