i found out how to fix the ignition problem do buy a new tumbler you dont need it!!

Dont let bmw swindle you into buying a new tumbler its not the problem.

Now all you need is a phillips head a set of needle nose plyers and a tiny flat head screw driver.

first just remove the covering on the steering column i think its one screw

then on the back of the tumbler and youll see a big brown round thing this is the electrical switch there will be 2 screws that hold that it place but are covered with red paint for a lock tight effect scrape it off and take em out about 3 turns.slide the switch off the back.

now if your electric is still on take your key and turn the switch tward the front of the car (not in the tumbler in the car you must have electric off to get the switch and tumbler back inline you have to stick it in the hole on the switch) your key works best its the exact size.

your electric will go off.

take a needle nose plyers and on the back of the tumbler youll see a metal peice that sticks out turn that twards the front of the car and it will shoot back in the tumbler.

now put it back together thats it your done star it up and go

this whole process takes about 5 mins. to do its so simple and i been leaving my car sit all this time o well
