So I have had my 07 335i since October 06 and have had no problems. Suddenly, my iDrive failed...turned the car off to go do something and when I got back in, it worked. I thought it was just a one time thing, but a week later, it did it again. Seems like this is an intermittent problem, happening every couple of days and is quite annoying. When it fails the radio, hands-free, BMW assist, and navigation stop working. I am OK (I say "OK" loosely) with all of that not working with the exception of the BMW assist. They have reprogrammed the iDrive and that didnt work, failing again the very next day. They have ordered a new Navigation System for me and should be installed on the 20th...I ask myself what the navigation has to do with this problem, but maybe it's the entire iDrive they are replacing. I hope so, and I hope this fixes the problem.
