Just so you all know, I thought I'd tell you....

My trunk lock was acting up, and eventually I took it to my mechanic, and then to the locksmith. The locksmith said that there was only one option he had to try, with a hammer, with my eyes closed I said ok. Never let anyone do that. There is some sort of mechanism that breaks, I think for security, to stop thieves from trying that method. So now I have to order a new lock. I am not looking forward to the bill either.

I bought it from a guy throught the net, but it was in my area, so I checked it out. After that $800 bill with the radiator, water pump, and thermostat issue...I called him to let him feel my wrath. (This happened only 2 months after I bought it). So then he told me that if anything else goes wrong, to give him a call. And I assure you, I will. Drilling out a lock, and replacing it, isn't cheap from the research I have conducted, but I don't have an estimate yet.
