Instrument cluster

Does anybody know if instrument cluster with full led info display will work on my 530i 2001 that has only temperature and mileage display model?
It has dead pixels and I was wondering if the electronics will support more advanced instrument cluster.

so u wanna swap the e60 display into your e39?

you just cant go swaping inst clusters they have to be coded to the car and your mileage will get all screwed up you will get a red dot by the miles meaning you tampered with it
