Intermittent wipers

I am a relatively new owner of a 1998 328iS and understand that the intermittent wipers are speed sensitive, but is there a way to change the delay between cycles? I have found that in some situations (ie: with heavy rain and bumper-to-bumper traffic), the delay between wipe cycles is too long and would like to adjust it.

as long as it is a E36, there is no way. the only speed snsitivity is between full stop or driving. at least my car does not allow to adjust the interval and i never heard about that possibility.
